Run Your Own Affiliate Program

We came across a very exciting affiliate package called Affiliate Pro that allows you to run your own Affiliate System right from your own website. This allows you to track sales and commissions owed to others who direct customers to you. Why do this? As our friend Galen Lehman from lehmans.com remarked, places like Commission Junction break the link to the affiliate, so you don't get Google credit for incoming links. Plus, why give up a percentage of the sale to the affiliate program folks for processing. This package is written in PHP, and integrates into most shopping cart applications. You have full control over the sales, the look, the customers, and your affiliate partners. It's a one time purchase of $50, and no re-subscription fees. Comes with free tech support, and full excellent documentation. Installation and integration services are also available. Contact me for more info on this exciting and valuable product. We highly recommend this!

We also help you setup your own ecommerce enabled website. Drop us a line.

Web based applications

Web applications are popular due to the ubiquity of web browsers, and the convenience of using a web browser as a client, sometimes called a thin client. The ability to update and maintain web applications without distributing and installing software on potentially thousands of client computers is a key reason for their popularity, as is the inherent support for cross-platform compatibility. Common web applications include webmail, online retail sales, online auctions, wikis and many other functions.

We build web accessible database driven applications for our clients. These applications run the gamut from real estate listings to sales ordering and inventory. If you need to roll out a service to your customers, and do not want to have to deal with upgrades or installations, drop us a line.

38 Language Translation Tool

We added a translation plug in to our blog at http://www.green-trust.org. We then added the translation widget to our left column, so a user can pick the flag of their choice, and see a machine translation of our blog. This works in conjunction with the xml sitemap tool to submit blog updates to the major search engine in all 38 languages.

newsPage Plugin (highly recommended)

The newsPage Plugin makes it easy to redisplay content from other websites that have RSS feeds. You install the plugin into wordpress, create a page with the plugin code, and set up what sites you want to pull content from. Every hour or so the plugin checks those sites for new content, and pulls in the summary and link. Takes just a few minutes to set up. Very easy.
